KYC document rejected: causes and how to resubmit
A rejected KYC document does not automatically mean the account will be closed. First identify which check the operator is performing and what was missing from the file: image quality, document validity, the wrong document type or payment-ownership proof.
1. Read the rejection reason before uploading again
ReSpin advises users to check the verification section for the specific reason and take a new photo when needed. Resubmitting the same file does not fix blur, glare, a missing document edge or an expired document.
Check that the document is readable, fully visible and valid, and that its type matches the operator's request.
2. Identify what the operator is verifying
Identity, address and payment ownership are separate checks. A passport may prove identity but does not prove ownership of a bank account or e-wallet.
Epicbet documents different proof for cards, bank accounts and e-wallets. That is why an ID already submitted may not resolve a payment-method check.
3. Do not expose more card data than necessary
The CVC should not be visible in card-verification documents, and a full card number normally does not need to be exposed. Send bank statements and other sensitive files through the operator's official upload flow.
If the requirement is unclear, ask which document type and fields are needed before sending another file.
4. If a corrected document is rejected again
Save the rejection time, document type and displayed reason. Contact support with those details and ask which exact requirement remains unmet.
That creates a traceable case instead of repeatedly submitting the same document or saying only that KYC does not work.
First separate the wrong document from a bad file
A rejection can mean you uploaded the wrong document type, or that the right document was unreadable, expired, cropped or missing required fields. Those are different problems and need different fixes.
If the operator asks for proof of address, an identity document may not satisfy that request even when the same name appears on it. Read the exact request type before uploading again.
Check four things before resubmitting
Make sure the document is valid, the full page or required area is visible, the name and required fields are readable, and the file meets the operator's format and size rules. Avoid filters or heavy image editing.
If a corrected file is rejected again, ask support for the exact rejection reason and required fields instead of sending a sequence of new documents without knowing what is being checked.
- Correct document type
- Valid date
- Required fields are readable
- Complete, unaltered file
Frequently asked questions
Does a rejected KYC document mean the account will be closed?
No. The rejection can relate to a specific file or verification type and can often be corrected.
Should I upload the same photo again?
Not if image quality or missing information caused the rejection. Submit a new file that fixes the stated reason.
Does an identity document prove bank-account ownership too?
Not necessarily. Payment ownership can require separate proof of a card, bank account or e-wallet.
